Hi, I'm Meghan. I'm a passionate, driven, silly, loud, caffeinated twenty-four year old who has been singing, dancing, and acting since I was two years old. I love life, and while I am a virgo who loves to plan- I am always up for a spontaneous adventure.
I love...
Shopping. Get me to a JCrew, Gap, Lululemon, H&M, Banana Republic, or Kate Spade, and you'll have my heart. My pearls go with anything and are worn for any occasion.
Football. I grew up watching football on Saturdays with my daddy and there is nothing I love more than watching Notre Dame win on a Saturday.
Coffee. I am admittedly Starbucks obsessed, but I love a good old fashioned cold brew. But at the end of the day, I just don't understand how anyone could turn down a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I mean, really.
Music. From top 40, to country, to classical, I always have something playing in the background of everything I do.
CrossFit. I know what you're thinking, I'm going to injure myself. But I have never loved going to the gym (box!) more in my life. CrossFit has given me such a great perspective on healthy living and the true meaning of "Mind over Matter."
Reading. Books are such a wonderful thing, and I love them almost to a fault. (They get heavy when you are constantly packing up and moving!) But give me an old book shop and a cup of coffee and I am a happy girl.
Musical Theatre. This goes without saying, really. But I truly do love it. From The Sound of Music to Legally Blonde, I'm hooked.
But back to reality.
I graduated from Point Park University in the beautiful city of Pittsburgh in May of 2013. I studied Musical Theatre and held a minor in Dance. Many people have told me I'm crazy because of what I do- but cannot see my life any other way.
"I've always thought it's better to give up sanity. Settle down and admit you're crazy or you wouldn't want to act. When you find out what acting is like and what the odds are, and you still persist, the proof of your own insanity is inescapable. Accept it. Most actors make themselves unhappy by searching for sanity, by insisting on their normalcy; it's a grave mistake. The life of an actor is a bit easier to take if you admit you're bonkers."
-Michael Shurtleff, Audition
For now I am traveling the country in the pursuit of work and great adventures. I love what I do and I am so happy to be seeing the United States doing what I love.
Current Location: New York, NY.
Here's to enjoying the adventure,
Meghan
